Ways to stay in touch with your neighborhood

If you are looking for ways to stay in touch with what's happening in your neighborhood, here are available methods -- just pick the one that you like best:

North Willow Glen Neighborhood Association list: an email list since 2001 to communicate within North Willow Glen, bounded by Bird, Fuller, Willow, and Highway 87.

NWGNA Blog (this blog!): occasional information about the area, plus an events calendar. http://northwillowglen.blogspot.com/

Nextdoor.com: a private social site for local neighborhoods. After verifying your house location, you can communicate online with North Willow Glen neighbors.

Celebrating love for the neighborhood today

Recently, neighbor Alison England worked through a local program to get 30 bare root rose bushes donated and then planted them in Fuller Park and Hummingbird Park for all to enjoy. It was a big effort and we look forward to seeing beautiful flowers along Fuller and and at Fisk and Bird.

This effort by Alison is like several others in North Willow Glen -- a neighbor chooses a way to give back about which they are passionate and puts energy into that effort. We have neighbors who do amazing amounts of clean-up work, plant and take care of street trees, help organize dumpster days, or advocate with the city for the benefit of our neighborhood on several issues.

If you have something that you are passionate about, let us know how you would like to help! Send us an email at board@nwgna.org.
