Who: Community Centers will be open to the community to enable San Jose residents to stay hydrated and cool during extreme temperatures.
Background: The National Weather Service issued an Excessive Heat Warning for the inland areas of the San Francisco Bay that began at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, and will continue to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3. The forecast is for a sustained heat with poor overnight ooling recoveries. This will be the most notable heat event since July 2006.
