PRNS study session: Monday

San Jose City Council is hosting a study session on Monday, April 11, at City Hall Council Chambers, 1:30 – 4:00PM regarding San Jose Parks, Community Centers and their services. This is an opportunity to voice your opinion on park needs and funding (general or regarding a specific park), and to be physically present to show your support. If you can’t attend, you can also send email to the City Council for inclusion with the public comments.

The Study Session was driven by a request by the Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services Committee (PRNS). This is the first step in a process to convince Mayor and Councilmembers that constituents really do care about parks and that it is time to give parks more financial support.

Staff will make a presentation followed by public comment and council discussion. The PRNS Agenda includes: Vision and Impact, Employees and Service Areas, History and Performance, and Opportunity and Focus Areas. The agenda, staff reports and public comment can be found online at sanjoseca.gov
