Island living

Lots of people would like to have their own island, but in North Willow Glen, it can come true. You, too, can adopt an island or other public area and help clean it up periodically. Today, Dan and Bill did an amazing job turning the island at Willow and Delmas into an oasis that any one of us can adopt.

If you’re interested in making this cozy getaway your own or helping out in our neighborhood in other ways, send an email to board@nwgna.org and we will connect you with the right folks.

Happy Tenth Birthday to Fuller Park!

Every year, to celebrate the anniversary of Fuller Park opening, we host a clean-up event, and the tenth anniversary clean-up is on Sunday. You know, as we age, we all need a little bit of maintenance.

A dedicated neighbor, Dan Erceg, volunteers many, many hours of his time helping to clean up Fuller Park between Bird and Prevost Avenues, and he will be leading a group of neighbors in pulling weeds, repairing and painting the fence, and preparing the bocce court for the spring and summer. Adults and kids are welcome, with a safe environment for the entire family to help out.

Please bring: tools for pulling weeds like hand shovels, gloves and buckets. Plus sunscreen! We will provide water, bagels, and coffee.

Join us at 9:00 am on Sunday in Fuller Park, between Bird and Delmas Avenues.
