Holiday decorating, 9:00!

We are meeting at 9:00 in Fuller Park, corner of Delmas and Fuller, to start decorating our neighborhood for the holidays with garlands and wreaths. We've got bagels and coffee, come on down!

Holiday neighborhood decorating: 9:00 am Saturday

We will be decorating the neighborhood again this Saturday and we would love to have your help. It doesn't take very long and it's a fun way to kick off the holiday season by brightening the neighborhood for everyone. Join us at 9:00 am on Nov. 25 in Fuller Park at the corner of Delmas and Fuller!

Save the date: holiday party Dec 3

Celebrate the holidays with your neighbors! You and your family are invited to an open house with holiday refreshments and cheer at Lila and Joel's house at 562 Fisk Ave. on Sunday, December 3 from 5:30-8:00pm. Snacks and desserts are welcome, but not necessary.

Look on your porch for your holiday tree flier

Thanks to the amazing Pam Shukait, neighbors are fanning out across North Willow Glen to deliver order forms for holiday yard trees. Orders must be in Pam's hands by Wednesday, November 15.

If you don't see a form on your porch by the end of the weekend, you can download one here.

Prevent and report illegal dumping

Neighbors have been noticing extra litter and illegal dumping in North Willow Glen recently. Dumping trash and debris attracts more dumping, and preventing illegal dumping is a powerful way to keep our neighborhood looking beautiful.

One of the easiest ways to report illegal dumping is to use the My San Jose app. You can also report illegal dumping in San José by calling the Customer Contact Center at (408) 535-3500. If you witness dumping in progress, call the San José Police Department non-emergency line at (408) 277-8900.

To get rid of your own stuff, the City of San Jose does have resources available to help you get rid of bulky stuff:

• Residents in single-family homes can have large items (such as mattresses, sofas, refrigerators, tires, and more) picked up curbside by their recycling collection company. Each pickup includes up to three large items.
• Apartment and condominium residents with communal garbage dumpster service can contact their property managers or GreenTeam of San Jose directly to arrange for free junk pickup.
